“He’s got a better wardrobe than I have! I can definitely see a performer in him,” Rossdale told Usmagazine.com at Saturday’s 10th Annual Home for the Holidays event in Hollywood.

But Rossdale added that it’s “such a worry — it’s such a weird world. I mean, he’s been photographed nonstop since he began.

“He had the first nine days off of his life - after that, it’s been full- [throttle],” he said. “It’s pretty intense. Who knows what’s going to happen?”

Meanwhile, things with 2-month-old Zuma are “going great,” said Rossdale, who recently celebrated his six-year wedding anniversary with Gwen Stefani.

“He’s really easy, and it’s smooth sailing right now,” he told Us. “It’s good times. But I want to bottle them – to take them away with me, so I can sip this elixir of the fun.”

Gwen Stefani and her No Doubt bandmates bassist Tony Kanal and guitarist Tom Dumont were snapped with their families on Thursday enjoying a makeshift Slip ‘N Slide on a Big Island beach.

The rock band had reportedly been on the island most of the week.

Perhaps opting to keep her usual designer duds back in Los Angeles with her husband, rocker Gavin Rossdale and two-month-old son Zuma, Stefani threw on a loose casual orange tropical print dress and hit the beach with her firstborn son Kingston, 2.

The rest of her No Doubt bandmates, sans drummer Adrian Young, soon joined the fun with their families.

“It’s like, here is this guy, and he’s not leaving. [Kingston] is getting used to that,” dad Gavin Rossdale tells PEOPLE about 2-month-old son Zuma with wife Gwen Stefani. “Obviously, there are moments that he’s bugged out that someone is in his spot with his mom.”

Rossdale, 40, joked, “His mom is great, so I agree with that. I just can’t complain about it. I think it’s just natural. That’s what happens.”

Of having a second child, Rossdale also kidded, “One is one, and two is 10. That’s all I know.” But seriously. “It’s going really well. It’s not so bad. We’ve got it down now, you know.”

Rossdale spoke with PEOPLE at a VH-1 Save the Music Foundation benefit at Esquire magazine’s Hollywood Hills House, where he performed a 25-minute acoustic set of songs. Wife Stefani, 39, did not attend.

A Save the Music representative, Rossdale is easing Kingston, 2, into the family musical tradition. “He’s got good rhythm. So, I’m happy about that it. I don’t push him beyond that. I let him enjoy it,” said the rocker. “He listens to lots of music, he really enjoys it. He likes a good beat.”

The actresses - who both gave birth earlier this year, Angelina to her fifth and sixth children with Brad Pitt in August, while Halle had her first child in March - join a host of star beauties in the list compiled by Fox News.com.

‘Tomb Raider’ star Angelina made eleventh place for “her amazing ability to balance being an activist, movie star and mom”, while Halle came second as she “just seems to get better with age”.

Other entrants in the list, which was topped by blonde US TV presenter Kelly Ripa - who has three children with husband Mark Consuelos - included country singer Faith Hill in third place and new mother Jessica Alba, who was fourth.

Demi Moore, who has three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis, was the oldest mother on the list, with Fox saying the 45-year-old star has “redefined the meaning of hot in your 40s”.

Supermodels Cindy Crawford and Heidi Klum made sixth and seventh places respectively, with the rest of the list made up by actress Isla Fisher, who has a daughter Olive with Sacha Baron Cohen, Nicole Richie - who gave birth to daughter Harlow, her first child with Joel Madden, in January - and mother-of-two Gwen Stefani.
